"On Seeing Doubles"

Tina Foster has given us a very good book [The Splitting Image]: clearly written, well-organized and on a topic of increasing importance. She discusses many examples, including Joseph Stalin, General Bernard Montgomery, Saddam Hussein and Kim Jong II. In my own research, I have addressed the cases of Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden and Paul McCartney (i), on which Tina has done brilliant research of her own. But Saddam was taken out in a B-1 bombing raid on 7 April 2003 and a double presented to conceal his assassination, where the double was put on trial, convicted and (apparently) hanged.
The case of Osama has fascinating aspects, because he was "our man in Afghanistan", instrumental in transferring Stinger missiles to the mujahideen. He was an agent of the CIA, "Col. Tim Osmond", who was visited in a hospital in Dubai shortly before his death in Afghanistan on 15 December 2001, where he was buried in an unmarked grave, in accordance with Muslim traditions. Nick Kollerstrom, the leading expert on the London 7/7 bombings, has an article about it (ii); and David Ray Griffin, the Dean of 9/11 Studies, has published a book devoted to it, Osama bin Laden: Dead or Alive?(iii)
Compare these photos of the real Osama (above) with two of the fakes (below). Because he was under fire for a dubious birth certificate, for having troops stationed in Pakistan, and for not having closed Guantanamo, Barack Obama found it politically expedient to resurrect Osama and kill him again ten years later. He claimed the tip had come from Guantanamo ("Gee, I guess it's good it's still there!"), used troops stationed in Pakistan ("Wow! Terrific they happened to be there!") and positioned himself for a triumphal reelection for having taken out "the most wanted man in the world".
Given the extent of my research and publications on the assassination of JFK, no doubt I need to affirm here that, while John Armstrong has published extensive research in support of the thesis that there were two Oswalds, "Harvey" and "Lee", my own supports the alternative that, while he was indeed impersonated on multiple occasions, there was only one "Lee Harvey Oswald". But I respect the work of John Armstrong and know many students of JFK who agree with is conclusions. Either way, it is a fascinating issue that deserves thorough research and investigation, where I have just published my fourth collection of expert studies on JFK.(iv)
Such differences as I may have with the author pale in comparison with my agreements. The case that will generate the most interest by far, I surmise, is that of Hillary Clinton. Tina talks about her double, Teresa Barnwell, but she has been using other doubles in more recent times. After her collapse at the 9/11 Memorial, her advisors were worried that her health would become an important issue unless they did something quickly to dissipate public concerns. So they sent out a double, who was several inches shorter, 35-30 pounds lighter and at least ten years younger to whom I refer as the "Meg Ryan" double, because she so much resembles Meg in one of my favorite films, "You've got mail!"
That's "Meg" on the left. On the right is yet another double who stood in for Hillary on the flight to Greensboro just a few days later. She is taller and thinner than Hillary, with a more sloping forehead, a different nose and missing the two moles Hillary has just above and below the right corner of her mouth. This one looks more like Meryl Streep, so I refer to her as the "Merly Streep" double.(v) But the story does not end there, because the Clinton Campaign had an even better double who was so good they actually used her during the Presidential Debates. It thereby becomes obvious why Tina's new book has immense timeliness. When a candidate for the Presidency of the United States can be repeatedly impersonated by multiple doubles, when it can be called out by the alternative media but brushed off by the mainstream(vii), we the people are in dramatic need for understanding the role of doubles, which she has so expertly introduced in this volume. I therefore recommend her book to everyone who wants to break through the false reality in which even Hillary can be played by doubles--and get away with it!
